Quick Start Guide
*pending update
Step 1: Get the App
Install the App. The App is available to all Ro-buddy board holders through the Ro-buddy Alpha test program. An invitation has already been sent to join the program to your email address . An update to the App will be posted shortly (TBA) and is required before moving to next step. At the moment the App allows you to connect to Raspberry Pi only.
Step 2: Get the Firmware
Power up the board using either a battery pack (NiMH, 8.4-9.6V only), carefully noting the polarity of the connectors or using an external DC power pack (9-12V DC regulated). If all is well, the PWR led should light up and the Ro-buddy indicator LED should blink near 1Hz. Then, download and update the latest Firmware for the board. (Firmware update will be posted shortly (TBA) ).
Step 3: Connect Your Android Device
When the board is ready, connect your Android(TM) smart phone (with Ro-buddy App pre-installed) through USB. You may need an optional USB OTG adapter that matches your Android device’s USB port and a standard USB 2.0 A to Mini-B cable to achieve this connection. The Ro-buddy board carries a standard USB Mini-B port.
